Illinois Mutual is pleased to announce that Kevin Christensen has been named assistant vice president for disability income (DI) sales.

Christensen started in the insurance industry as an agent in 1999. Prior to working for Illinois Mutual, he worked in management at AAA Insurance helping agents incorporate life and disability insurance coverage in their selling strategies.

As Christensen gained experience in the industry, he became familiar with Illinois Mutual. “Illinois Mutual has a great reputation.  They work hard to make the sales process easy for both the agent and their clients. I wanted to be part of that team,” he said.

May is Disability Insurance Awareness Month (DIAM), an industry-wide event coordinated by the LIFE* Foundation.

Wann comes to Illinois Mutual with significant industry experience.  Through his leadership, Illinois Mutual will begin a strategic upgrade to our business systems and keep them up to speed with significant industry advancements.

Prior to joining Illinois Mutual, Wann held various information technology executive roles with Erie Insurance Group, a Fortune 500 company with lines of insurance that include P&C and Life, in both personal and commercial markets.  Additional previous experience included executive positions at Edward Jones Investments, the IRS modernization effort, Federal Reserve System, and thirteen years as a systems architect and consultant leading IT projects for Fortune 500 companies.

Illinois Mutual recently launched Path Protector℠ Term Life, a product designed to provide a faster, simpler way to obtain life insurance. 

Path Protector℠ Term Life streamlines the underwriting process for those between the ages of 18 to 65 who are looking for coverage amounts of $25,000 to $250,000.  For consumers with acceptable health and prescription histories, Path Protector℠ Term Life allows efficient processing without paramedic exams, blood profiles, urinalysis or electrocardiograms.

The Illinois Mutual “Insure Your Love” marketing campaign was shown plenty of love at the Insurance and Financial Communicators annual award competition. Our February 2012 campaign received “Best in Show,” the highest award distinction.

The IFCA awards judge entries from international insurance and financial services industries each year. The awards recognize excellence in marketing and communications creativity, design and writing.

 The campaign included pURL postcards, emails and trade ads encouraging potential customers to “Show Your Love by Insuring It.”
