Our hearts go out to all of those impacted by the recent storms in Georgia, Nebraska and Ohio, including our own Illinois Mutual policyowners and agents who have suffered due to this event. As a company dedicated to giving back to others, we are extending our service offerings to help those affected by these natural disasters.
Effective immediately, the following actions are applicable until June 11, 2019 for all affected policyowners in Georgia, Nebraska and Ohio including: Georgia counties Grady, Harris and Talbot, Ohio counties Adams, Athens, Brown, Gallia, Guernsey, Hocking, Jackson, Jefferson, Lawrence, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble, Perry, Pike, Ross, Scioto, Vinton and Washington, and any other counties that subsequently declare an emergency due to dangerous and damaging conditions resulting from significant storms in the states of Georgia, Nebraska and Ohio.
Illinois Mutual is taking the following actions:
- Extensions on payment of premium. Policyowners in affected counties may defer premium payments that come due, interest-free, until June 11, 2019. Any cancellation or lapse notices you receive may be ignored if the lapse or cancellation date is prior to June 11, 2019. Premium should be remitted by June 11, 2019.
- Extensions on other time limits. Illinois Mutual is extending the time periods for taking other actions that have time limits, such as the submission of a claim, proof of loss or other information, up to and including June 11, 2019.
