Our hearts go out to all of those impacted by the recent storms in Iowa and Missouri, including our own Illinois Mutual policyowners and agents who have suffered due to this event. As a company dedicated to giving back to others, we are extending our service offerings to help those affected by this natural disaster.
Effective immediately, the following actions are applicable until June 15, 2019 for all affected policyowners in Iowa and Missouri including: Iowa counties Adair, Audubon, Appanoose, Black Hawk, Bremer, Buena Vista, Butler, Carroll, Cass, Cerro Gordo, Cherokee, Chickasaw, Clay, Clayton, Clinton, Crawford, Dallas, Davis, Delaware, Dickinson, Emmet, Fayette, Franklin, Fremont, Greene, Guthrie, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardin, Harrison, Howard, Humboldt, Ida, Iowa, Kossuth, Louisa, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marshall, Mitchell, Monroe, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Muscatine, O’Brien, Page, Palo Alto, Plymouth, Pottawattamie, Scott, Shelby, Sioux, Tama, Union, Wapello, Webster, Winnebago, Winneshiek, Woodbury, Worth, Wright, Missouri counties, Andrew, Atchison, Boone, Buchanan, Callaway, Cape Girardeau, Carroll, Chariton, Clay, Cole, Cooper, Franklin, Gasconade, Holt, Howard, Jackson, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lincoln, Marion, Mississippi, Moniteau, Montgomery, New Madrid, Osage, Pemiscot, Perry, Pike, Platte, Rawls, Ray, Saline, St. Charles, St. Louis, Scott, Warren and the city of St. Louis and any other counties that subsequently declare an emergency due to dangerous and damaging conditions resulting from flooding in the states of Iowa and Missouri.
Illinois Mutual is taking the following actions:
- Extensions on payment of premium. Policyowners in affected counties may defer premium payments that come due, interest-free, until June 15, 2019. Any cancellation or lapse notices you receive may be ignored if the lapse or cancellation date is prior to June 15, 2019. Premium should be remitted by June 15, 2019.
- Extensions on other time limits. Illinois Mutual is extending the time periods for taking other actions that have time limits, such as the submission of a claim, proof of loss or other information, up to and including June 15, 2019.
