Connect your business to your clients

The Agent Forum also houses your ability to create illustrations and prospects for your clients. With this tool, simply enter in some basic information about your client to generate an illustration. We will walk you through the process of adding a prospect and running illustrations for your clients in this video.

Submitting a Disability Income Insurance Application via WebApps

  1. Go to www.illinoismutual.com.

  2. Click the “Agents” link near the top right of the page.

  3. Click “Log In/Register.”

  4. Enter your email and password.

  5. Information from your illustration is automatically input into your application.

This is a required step in order to submit applications online. Click on the “Prospects/Illustrations” tab, then select the illustration you would like to work from.

  6. Click the green “Start Application” button near the top of the page.

  7. In the pop-up window, select the WebApp button, then choose your format.

You can select the traditional application method where you review and complete medical questions with your client and input the answers as you go. Or you can choose the Teleapplication method which means you skip the medical questions for now and they will be completed via a telephone interview after application submission. This guide will focus on completing the traditional application via the method. Click the “go” button after you’ve made all your selections.

  8. Ensure your popup blockers are turned off as they may prevent you from seeing the web application tool appear in a new window.

  9. Verify the policy details on the first screen before you proceed.

If you need to make a change, exit the application and make the necessary changes on the corresponding illustration before proceeding. Click the “NEXT” button located at the bottom of the screen to navigate from page to page in the application.

  10. Complete each portion of the application by filling out the required information, then clicking “next.”

As you complete a section, a green check mark will appear to the left of that section on the left side of the screen.

  11. Signatures on the web application are obtained by both the agent and client checking boxes in all required signature fields.

The signature check box is not available until all required fields are completed on the page.

  12. Next you’ll have the opportunity to assign a portion of the commissions for this policy to another agent if you have an agreement for split commissions as well as review the exam requirements with your client that may be necessary for the underwriting process.

  13. After you’ve filled out the application, review the PDF forms displayed on the screen and ensure all the information you entered was captured appropriately on the forms.

  14. Similar to the agent signatures, you’ll walk through each page of the application with your client and ask them for their electronic signature.

Ask them to validate that the information on the application is accurate.

  15. Once the last signature is completed, you may submit the final signatures by using the “Submit” button at the bottom of the screen.

As their agent, you will receive an email confirmation confirming that the application has been submitted to Illinois Mutual.

    • If the owner of the Life policy is going to be anyone other than the insured, complete the details as the prompts on the screen indicate.

    • You can enter multiple beneficiaries by clicking the plus sign to add additional names.

  11. Signatures on the web application are obtained by both the agent and client checking boxes in all required signature fields.

The signature check box is not available until all required fields are completed on the page.

    • If the client is not able to be in your office to sign the forms on your computer, choose the option for requesting signatures via email. In the “Electronic Signatures” tab, simply click “Request Signature”. Your client will receive an email from webapps@illinoismutual.com that will include a secure hyperlink to access the signatures requests. The client will need to verify the last 4 digits of their social security number and their date of birth to sign. You will be notified via email once those signatures are captured.
