Florida Hurricane Idalia Disaster Area
Our hearts go out to all of those impacted by Hurricane Idalia in Florida, including our own Illinois Mutual policyowners and agents who have suffered due to this event. As a company dedicated to giving back to others, we are extending our service offerings to help those affected by this hurricane.
Effective immediately, the following actions are applicable until October 31, 2023 for all affected policyowners in Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Citrus, Columbia, Dixie, Franklin, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Hernando, Hillsborough, Jefferson, Lafayette, Leon, Levy, Madison, Manatee, Marion, Pasco, Pinellas, Sumter, Suwannee, Taylor, Union, or Wakulla counties, and any other counties that subsequently declare an emergency due to Hurricane Idalia in the state of Florida.
- Extensions on payment of premium. Policyowners in Florida may defer premium payments that come due, interest free, until October 31, 2023. Any cancellation or lapse notices you receive may be ignored if the lapse or cancellation date is prior to October 31, 2023. Premium should be paid by October 31, 2023.
- Extensions on other time limits. Illinois Mutual is extending the time periods for taking other actions that have time limits, such as the submission of a claim, proof of loss or other information, up to and including October 31, 2023.
